Quality Eyecare at an Affordable Price

The following information which could prove useful to our members and their employees, was forwarded to us by St. John Ambulance:

"St. John Ambulance is a welfare organisation that has been involved in community projects for many years now.

In Kwazulu Natal the eye care service started some 21 years ago. Presently we have a fully equipped eye clinic at the St John building in 129 K.E. Masinga Road. Our organisation positions itself to play an important role in primary health care therefore our rooms are equipped with the latest technological equipment. Basic examination includes glaucoma testing and checks for any eye diseases.

Our service is aimed primarily at pensioners, domestic workers, and the unemployed however the clinic is open to anyone not on a medical aid scheme. A qualified Optometrist is on duty daily (Monday to Friday) from 08h00 to 16h00. We also provide driver’s license certificates and free visual screenings.

Vision is one of our most precious senses and should be taken care of. A friendly staff and professional attitude makes a visit to the St. John Eye Clinic a pleasure."
